This class is open to everyone from novice to a pro, you’re sure to improve your skill level! We meet you right where you are and take you further in your development of couture skills.
- You will learn to take measurements correctly.
- Beginner Couturier 1 Sewing Class (BC1) is the first of three series (followed by BC2 and BC3) dedicated to taking measurements and necessary calculations. You’ll learn how to combine your newly learned measuring skills and some basic math and geometry to create perfectly fitting patterns for yourself or anyone else.

Now that you’ve learned to take measurements and make three different skirt patterns, you will learn many couture and ready to wear techniques for a perfect fit and finish of your skirts: techniques Include sewing darts professionally, beautiful finishes that set your garments apart from “homemade”, different waistband finishes, professionally finished linings and hems. We cover it all!
